Meet Oliver Walker - your Franche and Habberley LibDem Team member
Hello,
My name is Oliver and I am one of the candidates who will be standing for the Franche and Habberley North ward. I first stood as a Liberal Democrat for the ward in May 2019. I was thrilled to have 17% of the vote in the 2021 By-Election.
I have lived in the ward for 22 years.
During my young life, I attended Marlpool primary (Now St Catherines) and Wolverley Secondary School, and Sixth Form. When I finished school in 2018 I started a business manufacturing Medieval Armour for re-enactments and for the full-contact sport (Buhurt). I had to put this on hold during the Covid Pandemic and got a job at a national supermarket where I'm now a trainee manager.
I am very hard-working and very determined to bring some changes to the area, changes for good. I will focus on making Franche and Habberley a safe place by tackling speeding vehicles and improving street lighting.
