Samantha Walker(Sutton Park Lib Dem Candidate) and Vicky Dixon (Habberley and Blakebrook Lib Dem Candidate) have been contacted by numerous angry residents about the traffic light chaos on Bewdley Hill/ Sutton Road. They have all been asking the same question who's idea was it to change the junction? well we can tell you that it was the local Sutton Park Conservative Councillors who came up with this scheme to stop congestion in this area, but it hasn't worked its just got worse.
Samantha Walker and Vicky Dixon have been monitoring the traffic flow and have found that as few as 6 cars at a time are allowed through the lights, It is now worse than ever for traffic coming up from town (Park Butts) and for residents who live in the close vicinity,we were told that these improvements would help traffic flow, but they have just created chaos.
Isn't it time that the Conservatives listened to what local residents have to say instead of just going and doing what they think is right when it is so obviously wrong. Vicky and Samantha have taken the matter up with the Highways Department and will report back when they are satisfied the problem has been resolved.
