Local Lib Dem Campaigner Adrian Beavis said he was proud and honoured to be chosen to represent the Royal Navy at the Royal opening of the National Armed Forces Memorial at Alrewas Arboretum, Staffordshire on Friday the 12th October.

Adrian is the Standard barer for the Kidderminster Royal Navy.

He said it was a very moving ceremony and paid tribute to all those who have lost their lives in service since the second world war.Only half the wall has been take up. The rest is blank and will be filled with names from future Wars, a grim reminder of the dangers British troops face.
