Hospital Jobs To Go

Local people have again received bad news about hospital services and health care provision in Wyre Forest. The news that 720 jobs across Worcestershire are to be cut will be yet another blow for our area.
At a Council Meeting on Wednesday 19th April Councillor Helen Dyke spoke in support of a motion that opposed the cuts and called for an immediate scrutiny of the action being taken by the Acute Health Trust.

Councillor Helen Dyke is a member of a new Council Task Group set up to examine this decision.

After the Council Meeting Councillors Helen and Peter Dyke contacted Liz Lynne, Liberal Democrat MEP and invited her to Kidderminster to discuss the staff cuts and problems within the Health Services nationally. Liz Lynne came on Fri 21st April and spent time with the candidates visiting Kidderminster Hospital and meeting staff.
