The Highways Budget for Worcestershire in 2006/2007 has been cut by £1.4 million by the Conservative Administration at County Hall. This means that fewer maintenance schemes will be undertaken on or local roads. This means that our roads that are already in a very poor condition will be left to get worse.
More of the budget will now be managed directly from County Hall not our local offices, so what chances will Wyre Forest have against Worcestershire? More important what chance will Aggborough and Spennells have? Councillors Helen and Peter Dyke will continue to keep pushing work to be done in our area.
When we find out the full implications of these cuts we will let you know more!
