Cllr Helen Dyke at Worcester Road
Councillors Helen and Peter Dyke have been working on getting a crossing on the A449 from Wilden Lane to the Crown Public House. This has become even more important since the houses at the end of Wilden Lane will now be included in Spennells Primary School catchment area. The work done so far by Helen and Peter include, survey of residents, asking for a feasibility study for a crossing by the Highways Agency and a proposed scheme for implementation. The study and plan has now been received. This work and progress has been reported to residents on a regular basis! This issue has become more important because more children will be crossing this road to go to school.Councillors Helen and Peter Dyke have had a meeting with the County Council to ask if there could be a crossing erected here under the Safer Routes to School Scheme as a matter of urgency.
We will let you know our progress as soon as possible.
Now the other political parties are attempting to claim this work as their own. We do the work , we report back and we do this all year round not just at election time.
